Shawn Mendes announces first world tour

Fresh off opening for Taylor Swift on her 1989 world tour, Shawn Mendes is headlining his own. The 17-year-old pop star released the dates and stops for his first-ever world tour.

The schedule includes 38 stops across North America and Europe. After his already sold-out show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on March 5, Mendes is heading across the pond, before returning stateside in July. The final show is slated for Aug. 21 in Mendes’ hometown of Toronto, just two weeks after his 18th birthday.

Mendes’ debut album Handwritten was released last April and immediately created buzz for the rising artist, shooting to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Leading up to his album, Mendes began his ShawnsFirstHeadlines tour that only had three non-North American dates.

Presale tickets are available Feb. 1 beginning at 10 a.m. local venue time, while public sales begin Feb. 6. Further ticketing information can be seen on Mendes’ website.
