Philadelphia Orchestra Back in Town
Following its celebrated tour of Europe, the Philadelphia Orchestra will spend the coming months bringing its unique and renowned sound to music lovers across the U.S.
Following their 2015 Tour of Europe, the Philadelphia Orchestra will return to the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park for shows June 23, 25, 26, and July 23, 24 and 25.
"We are so proud of our heritage as the first summer home of The Philadelphia Orchestra here in the City of Brotherly Love for 80 years," said Catherine M. Cahill, president and CEO of the Mann. "Their return to the Mann this summer has something for everyone, from the great classics of Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, and Gershwin to the powerful scores of 'The Godfather' and 'The Fellowship of the Ring' to the incomparable Diana Krall.''
The first round of concerts include "Tchaikovsky with Fireworks'' at 8 p.m. June 23; "The Godfather Live'' 7:30 p.m. June 25, and "A Night of Gershwin'' at 8 p.m. June 26.
