The Mann appoints Glenn Blumenfeld and George McFarland as new board members
PHILADELPHIA (February 11, 2015) – The Mann Center for the Performing Arts announced today that Glenn Blumenfeld and George McFarland have been appointed to the Board of Directors. Blumenfeld is president of Tactix Real Estate Advisors and Chief Executive Officer of Exis, and McFarland is President of Pennsylvania Trust.
“As the Mann continues to grow as one of the premiere concert venues in the country, it is essential that we have an exceptional board of trustees and we are thrilled to welcome Glenn and George,” said Catherine M. Cahill, President and CEO of the Mann. “I am confident that these two new members will bring their years of management experience to help further enhance the Mann’s leadership position in cultural programming and arts education.”
Since joining Tactix in 2003, Blumenfeld has managed many of the largest and most complex real estate transactions in Philadelphia including Cira Centre (Dechert and Woodcock Washburn) and FMC Tower at Cira Centre South (FMC). Blumenfeld also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Exis, a newly formed, global tenant-only representation firm of which Tactix is a founding member.

Prior to joining Pennsylvania Trust in 1998, McFarland worked as a trial attorney for 14 years at several prominent Philadelphia area law firms including Saul Ewing and High, Swartz, Roberts & Seidel where he headed the firm’s personal injury group. At Pennsylvania Trust he is responsible for the internal management and administration in addition to serving as the portfolio manager.
“Throughout my career, I have always recognized the importance of education and believe in the Mann’s efforts to engage the community through innovative and collaborative educational programing designed for the next generation of Philadelphians,” said McFarland. “I truly look forward to serving on the board of this outstanding organization.”
Blumenfeld and McFarland join an active board of dedicated trustees who work to together to enhance the Mann’s position as the premier outdoor concert venue in the city and the center for arts and cultural education for underserved youth throughout Philadelphia.
