Octavius Catto Story: A Philadelphia Freedom Fighter

These workshop/performances will be presented in four participating Philadelphia schools and integrate with the history, literature, and arts curriculum. The programs will feature the Rock School for Dance Education's "Catto at the Bat" ballet and Negro Spiritual sing-a-longs with teaching artist Barbara Walker. 

Each participating school will receive two copies of Tasting Freedom: Octavius Catto and the Battle for Equality in Civil War America, courtesy of Temple University Press.
