Experimental psychedelic band Animal Collective performs October 3rd at the Mann. The NPR favorites tour in support of their forthcoming album, Centipede Hz.
Originally from Baltimore, the band is comprised of Avey Tare (David Portner) Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), Deakin (Josh Dibb), and Geologist (Brian Weitz). Their music may feature contributions from any single member or combination of members who still manage to collaborate on some of the genre's most innovative and interesting tracks despite residing in New York, Los Angeles, Lisbon, and Washington, D.C. The band's 10th studio album, Centipede Hz, is scheduled for release September 4th on Domino Records. Animal Collective also runs the independent record label Paw Tracks, which has release albums by Ariel Pink, Black Dice, and Prince Rama.
