Three-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jill Scott brings her Summer Block Party concert to the Mann Saturday, June 23 with special guest KEM, hosted by DJ Jazzy Jeff.

Prior to releasing her #1 album, The Light Of The Sun (June 2011), performing at The White House, and appearing on VH1 Divas alongside Aretha Franklin, the triple threat began her career collaborating with musical icons, The Roots, Will Smith, and Common. In 2000, she released her much anticipated debut CD, Who is Jill Scott? Words & Sounds, Vol. 1 which went on to double platinum status and earned Scott several Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist. Two more critically acclaimed albums followed, Beautifully Human: Words & Sounds, Vol. 2 and The Real Thing: Words & Sounds, Vol. 3 which garnered two more Grammy Awards and spawned multiple worldwide tours.

A truly versatile artist, Jill Scott is also a New York Times best selling poet and critically acclaimed actress. People Magazine named Jill one of their Top TV Breakout Stars for her starring role in the Peabody Award-winning HBO/BBC mini series, The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency. Additionally, Jill has starred alongside Tyler Perry & Janet Jackson in the hit movie series Why Did I Get Married?, and is currently filming a made-for-TV version of Steel Magnolias with Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard, and Phylicia Rashad.
