Gospel Meets Symphony Concert Information

We look forward to having you join us on Saturday, July 19th for the Finale Concert of the Philadelphia Freedom Festival. Below are the answers to some questions you may have about visiting the Mann.

WHERE AM I GOING?

The Mann Center for the Performing Arts is located at 52nd and Parkside Avenue in Fairmount Park. For driving directions please go to our website at manncenter.org/plan-your-visit/directions. For a closer look at our campus, please visit manncenter.org/map.

Entrances to parking areas are located at the following intersections:
Belmont Avenue at South Georges Hill Drive, South Concourse Drive, or Avenue of the Republic
North 52nd Street and Parkside Avenue

For General Admission tickets:

Please enter through the Main Gates or the Top of the HIll gates for tomorrow's performance.

For VIP ticketholders:

Please enter through the donor gate, located to the left of the Main Gates, which is highlighted in red on your venue map.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A CAR?

We've made it easy for you. Go green and take The Mann Center's Center City Loop Bus available by SEPTA! Please go to http://manncenter.org/plan-your-visit/transportation-parking for more information and bus schedule.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

For this performance, the Mann parking lots will open at 11:00 AM. To accommodate guests before the gates open, food trucks and portable bathroom facilities will be on site.

Standard parking is $15.00 per vehicle, and all over-sized vehicles (such as buses, campers, motor homes, etc.) are $30.00. Parking is cash only. No Commercial Vehicles (determined by License Plate) may enter the Park.

Additional information for drop-offs and pick-up:

This drop-off area is located in CRAWFORD CIRCLE just off the Avenue of the Republic. Please look for the sign designating the area for drop-offs and follow the paved and lighted pathway leading to our Main Gates.

Once your bus or large van completes its drop-off, the driver will be directed by parking staff to a parking location along the Avenue of the Republic. At the end of the performance, your driver will be permitted to pull back into the Crawford Circle area to pick-up riders.

TICKET INFORMATION:

General Admission:

Please have your printed at-home Eventbrite registration voucher with you upon arrival. There will be no entry without your voucher, which serves as your ticket to get in. If you have registered in person through one of your community partners, or you have forgotten or lost your voucher, please proceed to the registration table located to the left of the Box Office. All of your guests must be with you before approaching the table.

For VIP ticketholders:

Please have your printed at-home Eventbrite registration voucher and your wristband with you upon arrival. There will be no entry without your voucher or wristband, which serves as your ticket to get in. If you have pre-registered but you do not have your voucher, or you have forgotten or lost your voucher and/or wristbands, please proceed to the registration table located in front of the donor gates. All of your guests must be with you before approaching the table.

PLEASE NOTE: As a courtesy, please contact Heather Goldsmith, Director of Development Operations, at (215) 546-7900 x119 or development@manncenter.org if you do NOT plan on distributing all of your wristbands by JULY 17th. This will enable us to make those extra seats available to others.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

The Mann Center's gates will open at 5:30PM, and a pre-concert event on the Mann’s PECO Plaza will begin at 6:00 PM. The performance will begin at 8:00PM sharp. Please note: there is no re-entry once exiting the facility.

All concert attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Seating is available on first come, first served basis, and covered seating is very limited. We recommend you bring a blanket as you may be seated on the Great Lawn. Late arrivals are not guaranteed seats or access.

Parties are encouraged to arrive together as seat holds will not be permitted.

IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE ON SITE?

Yes! The Mann Center offers a variety of food/beverage options. You can enjoy your favorite concert fare, including healthy food options, at Independence Grill. Located conveniently next to your seats in PECO Plaza, Independence Grill's new offerings include the Fairmount Burger, Bravo Burger, veggie and chicken burgers, kale salads, and fries. The Top of the Hill, past the Great Lawn, also offers delicious deli sandwiches, salads, and Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. Beverage options are available throughout the Mann's campus.

The food trucks for this performance will be Gigi & Big R, Foolish Waffles, Scratch Biscuits, Sum Pig, Little Baby's, and Rita's Italian Ice located at the Top of the Hill.

There will also be food trucks available in Crawford Circle during the day from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. These food trucks will be Gigi & Big R and Tot Cart.

Out of respect for the program this evening, alcohol will not be sold.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

ALL PERFORMANCE AT THE MANN GO ON RAIN OR SHINE.

Small personal umbrellas must remain closed inside the covered pavilion. Golf umbrellas are not permitted.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

We strongly recommend you and your registrants be prepared to bring blankets or chairs no more than 28” high for the lawn. Covered seating is limited for this performance and is not guaranteed.

In addition, picnics are permitted for this performance.

WHAT SHOULDN'T I BRING?

Please do not bring professional cameras or recording equipment (including cameras with detachable lenses, any form of camera stand or audio/video recording devices), or iPads/tablets.
